Omnibot 2000 Repairs Questions & Answers - For Guidance Only

REFERENCE: Omnibot 2000 Repairs Questions & Answers:

Q. The Omnibot 2000 does not move forward or backward or right or left and the switches on the back door are all OFF ?
A1. Turn all of the door switches ON.
A2. Try switching the drive assembly.
A3. Try switching the power accessory board.
A4. Try switching the door circuit board.

Q. The Omnibot 2000 Does not move forward or backward or right or left and the battery dies after a time and the switches on the back door are all OFF ?
A. Turn all the door switches ON and if it is a bad battery, replace the battery.
     NOTE; The robot will not move if all of the switches on the door are OFF. They must be ON. A Shorted or bad diode in the Auxiliary Power Board will act as a short when the switch is on and the board will heat up. It can ruin the main board if the fuse does not blow.

Q. The Omnibot 2000 does not move forward or backward or right or left and the switches on the door are ON ?
A. If it does not work the switches may be oxidized. Use a contact cleaner and spray the switches and move them rapidly back and forward so that they will work. You might have to replace the switch, BUT make sure that the jack and plug to ALL connections to the door is making contact. They can also be oxidized and not be making contact.

A. Turn all of the switches OFF - and if;

Q. The Omnibot 2000 Does not move forward or backward or right or left and the battery does NOT die after a time and the switches on the back door are all OFF. ?
A. The Auxiliary Power panel circuit board has a short and/or the diode is bad.

Q. The Omnibot 2000 Does not move forward or backward or right or left and the battery does NOT die after a time and the switches on the back door are all ON. ?
A. The output driver on the main mother board is bad. Test it and replace it. (See Fig # 1)
